how to make friends

                                     My first blog post 

   Hello!  I'm very nervous about writing my first blog post, and I've been sitting in front of my computer wondering if it's even a good idea to write this right now, because i'm terribly afraid of it turning out awful. I can already feel it becoming a big pile of nonsense, but before I ramble on too much, I'll get to the point and tell you what this post is all about.

For most writers their very first post is usually an autobiography, an "all about me" post, but I've decided to not tell you about me, rather the people who surround me. The people you are surrounded by usually say an awful lot about you, so I guess it's a perfect way to start off.

I wont talk too much about my close family, maybe another day, but they are wonderful. Instead I will talk about my friends and acquaintances, people i choose to surround myself with.

I never really knew what it was like to have a best friend. People use that word too lightly, they meet someone yesterday and immediately they're "best friends". I've always wanted a best friend, but maybe i'm just too picky. You see, I've HAD many friends, but I never HAVE any friends. I'm not an antisocial person either, I really love company but it seems as if nobody likes my company for an extended period of time. I hope one day that will change. I'm getting a bit off track- friends. Friends are okay for a month or two but after that it usually goes downhill. I either say something wrong or do something stupid just to the point where they don't dislike me, they just don't necessarily want to be my friend...anymore. All in all I'm not great with friends. This was a very vague blog post but I hope I'll get better at this as I keep posting. Thank you for taking the time to read this!
